peace of mind

My experience says a peace of mind is a state wherein you tend to think in just one direction. A human mind is the most disturbed peace of thing in the present world. We intend to do a lot of things in one go. The world has changed in the past and it has come to a stage where people do not find time to sit and relax with there loved ones. All we care about is work and success.

I did some comparison with the pre-liberalisation era to post. Previously people had very less desires and demands as compared to the present world. They had a few choices. For example if they wanted to buy a car it was either Maruti or Ambassador, for two-wheeler it was either Bajaj or TVS or Hero Honda with models limited to 1 or 2, washing powder, airlines, toothpaste, filmfare, specific magazines, phones, electronics and the list goes on and on. The daily need items to fashion to lifestyle products etc. We bought what the manufacturer sold - no other choice. But now the times have changed we have hundreds of choices for all of the above mentioned items. Previously the problem was that we had no choices and had to buy what the manufacturers sold and now the problem is that which is the best or a good product that could satisfy your needs. The times have changed, if you have a lot of money and a insurance adviser or a mutual fund company comes to now that, then they will chase you till the time you have not bought there product cause there are hundreds of them and everyone of them shows you a different scenario of the market. Same is the case with holidays it is difficult to decide where to go and which travel agent to hire. A year back me and my some friends decided to go to Thailand for a weeks trip. We though to take a renowned travel agent from India and they had a local agent in Raipur. So, we contacted him and made a plan. When we had started our trip we realised that the guy was a fraud. We did the touring on our own with booking the hotels to short trips and side seeing.

So, the best thing that has happened post-liberalisation is that the number frauds and cheats have increased as compared to the real and good people. With this kind of a scenario it is really tough to find a peace of mind for even a day in the normal course of life.
